Resume With Geo-Centric Infographic

In preparation for another chapter in my life and to supplement many personal, professional and educational goals – I’ve updated my resume with a simple look and geo-centric infographic.

Soon my current resume, portfolio and infographic will be interactive as I will be updating the entire Parke Creative website over the next few months.

I’m looking for a full-time in-house creative position in the Salt Lake City area while transitioning from a cross-country move.

Many patterns, textures and colors were added to my topographical layout to reflect how varied the state of Utah is: beautiful blue waters of the Great Salt Lake, purple snow-tipped majesty of Mt. Timpanogos, deep green from Wasatch Pine Trees, to rich terra cotta and dark browns found at Moab. Although I used some of my own texture photographs, many thanks to Von Glitschka’s “Crumble. Crackle. Burn” and “Drip. Dot. Swirl.” for imagery at my fingertips, ready to place into my illustrations and page design.

I chose to illustrate the famous Moab Arch – with it’s rings of time – to represent previous professional experience from 2000 – 2005. As a compliment to that experienced framework, I decided on a colorful contrast as my career highlight because it focussed on energy and action required to stay in tune with successful design methods and digital technologies.

At the center of it all – the sun. Like renewal and life it represents entry into a new chapter – integrating a solid framework of design production and tactile creative processes with the multiple technologies necessary for digital broadcasting – exploring the tactical and collaborative planning behind interactive design and mobile commerce [the design paradigm].

Making this move in my career signals a culmination of everything I’ve learned so far and a way to push my skillset into interactive media. With a solid foundation in print and web, I look forward to this step with an eye towards teaching in an official capacity. Parke Creative will continue to be my creative playground and the hub of my professional network – STAY TUNED!

“I must say your resume is very creative and intriguing. After decades of receiving them, I have never seen a resume quite like this. I love the format.”

Completed two personalized resumes with this new concept for my college-grad children and then went to work on mine. Spent many hours researching current trends, resumes that work, my own style and crafting unique resume headers. My design execution is based on ethnography and the creative process. So glad all the hard work has paid off. I love what I do!
